Marty Ricks

No other artist in America captures the mood and majesty of a Californian dawn quite like Marty Ricks. Rick's luscious oil paintings reflect his fond remembrances of time spent in California in a series of bucolic renderings, each a rich tone poem in itself.

Whether at sundown or sun-up, California's legendary hills, dales and riverbeds still monopolize Rick's visual playground. His highly trained eye has an ability to freeze the light and distill each magical moment into a delicious recipe of tone and color. With subtle echoes of Cezanne, Pissarro and Corot, Ricks has firmly established himself as an important new American landscape artist.
